Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Versa collects, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights you have. We built Versa around respecting your body — that same respect extends to your data.

01

Who we are

Versa LLC ("Versa," "we," "us," or "our") designs smart jewelry built for the female body. This Privacy Policy applies to {{ siteUrl }} and any related microsites, sign-up forms, and product experiences we operate (together, the "Services").

By using our Services or submitting information to us, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

02

Information we collect

We collect information in two ways: information you give us directly, and information that is collected automatically when you use our Services.

A · Information you provide

  • Contact & inquiry details — name, email address, subject, and message when you use our contact form.
  • Newsletter sign-up — email address (and name, if provided) when you join our mailing list.
  • Intent-to-buy / waitlist data — name, email, phone number, preferred finish, how likely you are to purchase, the price you would be willing to pay, and which features matter most to you.
  • Communications — any information you include when you message us on social media or by email.

B · Information collected automatically

  • Device & browser data — IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, and screen size.
  • Usage data — pages viewed, links and buttons clicked, time on page, scroll depth, referring website, and approximate location (derived from IP).
  • Session activity — mouse movement, clicks, taps, and scrolling captured as anonymized session recordings and heatmaps (see Section 3).

We do not currently collect health, biometric, or sensor data through this website. Health data generated by the Versa device and app is governed by a separate in-app privacy notice.

03

Cookies & analytics technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, understand how it is used, and improve it. We rely on two third-party analytics tools, and we want to be transparent about exactly what they do:

Google Analytics 4

Provided by Google. Google Analytics uses cookies to measure traffic and understand how visitors find and move through our site (pages visited, sessions, traffic sources, approximate geographic region, and device type). This data is aggregated and helps us improve the Services. Google may process this information on our behalf. Learn more in Google's Privacy Policy.

Microsoft Clarity

Provided by Microsoft. Clarity captures how visitors interact with our site through anonymized session recordings and heatmaps — recording clicks, taps, mouse movement, and scrolling — using cookies and similar technologies. Clarity masks text entered into form fields. We use it to see where people get stuck and to improve usability. Microsoft may use the data per its own terms; learn more in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

We also use strictly necessary cookies required for the site to function. You can control or disable cookies at any time — see Your cookie choices below.

Categories of cookies we use: Strictly necessary (site function), Analytics/performance (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity).

04

How we use your information

  • To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
  • To send you our newsletter and product updates (where you have opted in).
  • To gauge demand, pricing, and product interest through our intent-to-buy and waitlist forms.
  • To operate, maintain, analyze, and improve our website and Services.
  • To understand usage trends and measure the effectiveness of our content.
  • To protect against fraud, abuse, and security threats, and to comply with legal obligations.

05

Legal bases for processing (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Consent — for newsletter sign-ups and non-essential (analytics) cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests — to understand product demand, secure our site, and improve the Services, balanced against your rights.
  • Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose data to comply with the law.

06

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service providers — trusted vendors who process data on our behalf, including Google (analytics), Microsoft (Clarity), our form/email processor, and our website host. They may only use the data to perform services for us.
  • Legal & safety — when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Versa, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you.

✦  We have never sold personal information and do not "sell" or "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.

07

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy — for example, to maintain your newsletter subscription until you unsubscribe, or to keep waitlist data until our launch is complete — and then for as long as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Analytics data is retained according to the default retention settings of Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.

08

Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use care when sharing information online.

09

Your privacy rights

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect, the sources we collect it from, the business purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties we disclose it to (all described in Sections 2, 4, and 6).
  • Access a copy of the specific pieces of personal information we hold about you.
  • Delete personal information we have collected, subject to exceptions.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, but you can exercise this right at any time through our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page or your cookie choices.
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information — we do not collect sensitive personal information (such as health, biometric, or precise geolocation data) through this website, so there is nothing to limit here. Health data from the Versa device and app is governed by a separate in-app privacy notice.
  • Non-discrimination — we will never deny you services, charge you a different price, or provide a different quality of service for exercising your rights.

You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may ask the agent for proof of your authorization and may still ask you to verify your identity directly. If we decline your request, you may appeal that decision by replying to our response or contacting us at the email below.

EEA & UK residents (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your data; the right to data portability; and the right to withdraw consent at any time (withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already took place). Versa LLC is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority, though we hope you will contact us first so we can help.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at {{ contactEmail }}. We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding, and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally 45 days under the CCPA and one month under the GDPR, each extendable where permitted).

10

Your cookie & tracking choices

  • Browser settings — most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Doing so may affect how the site works.
  • Google Analytics opt-out — install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Microsoft Clarity — Clarity honors browser-level privacy controls; you can also manage Microsoft data preferences in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC) — we honor recognized opt-out preference signals where required by law.
  • Do Not Track — because there is no industry standard, our site does not respond to DNT signals differently at this time.

11

International data transfers

Versa is based in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the U.S. and other countries. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in a country with different data protection laws. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers.

12

Children's privacy

Our Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

13

Third-party links

Our Services may link to third-party websites (such as social media). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before sharing information.

14

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
